ShotProof Free testing build · October 11, 2026
HomeSaved on your phone
Your target photographs, shot positions, results, rifle and ammunition profiles, notes and unfinished work are stored in this app on your phone. The Free build works without an account and does not automatically upload these records to Online Lab. This build includes no advertising or analytics service.
Camera and photos
You choose when to take a target photograph or select an existing picture. The app uses the picture to analyze your target on the phone. Camera and photo selection use the phone's permission controls.
Chronograph files
You can choose a Garmin ShotView export to attach velocity readings to a target. The file is processed on this phone, and attached readings and statistics stay with your saved target. Basic imports do not require an online account or direct Bluetooth pairing.
App update checks
When connected, the Free app checks public release information at most once a day when opened. You can also tap Check for Updates. These checks do not send target photos, rifle/ammo profiles, location readings or account credentials. The update server receives the normal connection information used for a web request. Updates open the download website and are installed only when you choose; offline shooting remains available.
Files you choose to share
Export to Computer, backup, PDF printing and photo sharing open the phone's save/share options. A shared file may contain your target photo, rifle and ammunition details, notes and results. Choose the receiving app or destination carefully. That service handles the file under its own terms.
Feedback you choose to send
Send Feedback opens an email draft to themilehighonemilechallenge@gmail.com with the app version and basic phone model/system information. You choose any attachments and when to send it. No target photos, rifle/ammo details or Garmin files are attached automatically. Your email provider handles the message.
Keep a separate backup
Back Up Everything includes rifle and ammo profiles, target photos/results and a recovery draft. Named target groups are not included. Save the backup outside ShotProof. Uninstalling the app or clearing app storage removes its local records. The separately installed Pro Preview has its own local records.
Delete and restore
You can delete targets and remove rifle or ammo profiles from the choices. Removing a profile preserves its details in past target records. A restore imports a backup without deliberately replacing existing records; conflicts are kept as separate copies.
Measurement review
Automatic impact suggestions require your review. Check the printed scale, calibration and every marker. Compare measurements with the original paper target before relying on them.
A store release and its final support/contact information are still being prepared. This notice describes the Free testing build; the Online Lab website and Pro Preview use different data flows.
